Pisgah, Iowa, 1846; warnings of Jim Bridger, 1847; hunting experiences on the plains, 1848; arrival in Salt Lake Valley, 1848; marriage to Ann Beers, 1849; member of the Nauvoo Legion; encounter with the Ute Indians, 1850; mission to Green River, Utah, 1852; missionary experiences of his father Zer Pulsipher; episodes with Johnston's Army, 1857, under Porter Rockwell and Lot Smith; marriage to Sarah Robbins, 1856; participation in the Black Hawk War, 8165-1867; part of expeditions under Colonel R.J. Burton; surveying of St. George; counselor to Bishop Crosby in Hebron, Utah; experiences as a traveling agent collecting money for the St. George Temple; care of the church property at Windsor Ranch; marriage to Julia A. Johnston; move to Sink Valley, Utah; removal to Castle Valley, Utah, 1882; set apart as a high councilor by Apostle F.M.
